If you are one of the chosen few who have been blessed Satanically (or cursed, depending on how it ultimately effected you) by Stanton sharing his time with you personally, then you may have heard him tell the story he conversationally calls "Dead Johnny." It's about the one and only time, so far, that Stanton discovered a dead body, which happened to be that of his great-uncle (Diane LaVey's maternal uncle) John Hall. Stanton refers to the tale as a "modern ghost story" and finds it amusing to present to those he tells it to with the disturbing possibility that the right up to the part where the body is taken away by county coroners, might actually be entirely fabricated as an imaginative, and insane, way of covering up his having actually killed "Dead Johnny!"
